With many flat areas and gentle hills, Oltrepò is a great region to discover by bike. From Gualdana, you can follow the Cycle Path to the town of Salice Terme, or further towards Varzi. You can explore the gentle hills and visit Torrazza Coste and Montebello, or stay in the lower lying towns closeby such as Pizzale and Lungavilla. In every direction there are treats to see, taste and explore. Tracks of all lengths and for all abilities are easily accessible. We have four bikes available for guests to borrow and can advise you on directions and nearby trails.
GREENWAY VOGHERA - SALICE TERME - VARZI
From Gualdana you can easily reach the beginning of the beginning of the Greenway. It is a calm flat cycle to Salice Terme. You can stop and see Retorbido on the way or pop into Al Casello for a coffee. The path runs along the river past Rivanazzano and into Salice Terme where you can stop for Gelato, paddle in teh river, or continue onto the more challenging part of the path towrds Varzi. Ask us in advance and we can organise a lift for you and the bikes back to Gualdana.
MOUNTAIN BIKING SAN PONZO
Around the Grotte di San Ponzo there are many trails for mountain bikes through lush woodlands. Only 30 minutes from Gualdana it is a great place to take a picnic lunch and explore with your bike, your, dog, your family.
