RED

Barbera

Montelio Estate

Oltrepò Pavese

Intense ruby red color with blue reflections, almost impenetrable. On the nose, it presents notes of black cherries, plum, currant, and peony and petunia flowers. On the palate it is savory and full, with fine and not bitter tannins; the high acidity, thanks to malolactic fermentation and refinement, gives freshness. Ideal with boiled, braised and cured meats, it also pairs perfectly with substantial dishes for winter evenings. Its acidity makes it suitable for a variety of dishes, including those based on tomatoes, such as pizza.

Sparkling Bonarda

Oltrepo Pavese

Oltrepò Pavese

Intense ruby color with purple/blue reflections, thanks to the presence of Malvina. On the nose, clear hints of morello cherry, blackberry, violet, iris and lilac. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich in tannins typical of Croatina, balanced by a residual sugar of about 8 g/l. Excellent with meat-based first courses such as ravioli and agnolotti, risotto with salami paste, and fatty foods such as cured meats (in particular “salame di Varzi DOP”), cotechino, zampone, ragù and pork ribs. The tannins also have a degreasing and cleansing action, helping to clean the mouth.
